Portabilty

For some, the ability to work on the move is essential, for others its the freedom that notebooks bring that is so attractive, all modern notebooks include wireless adapters so you can sit in the backyard, or relax in bed watching a movie, surfing the net or just simply playing !

Buying a Notebook is a minefield, even for old hacks like those at Centurion Computers :)
You will often find systems that have exact or very similar specifications with wildly differing price ranges, its hard to justify the price in some cases and hard to believe in others!

Notebooks age rapidly, beware the `price choppers` , notebooks are hard to upgrade in general and components for older machines are hard to come by and usually expensive.

Centurion computers only supply notebooks that we believe offer the best value/quality for money, this means we will not stock certain brands, the brands we supply  we believe in.

Upgrades

Upgrades to notebooks are normally limited to memory and Hard Drive upgrades, whether your memory can be upgraded or not depends on the model of notebook and the amount of memory already installed (some notebooks are not suitable for memory upgrades)
Hard drives can be replaced for larger versions in most cases, you may want to copy your existing hard drive contents to your new drive (ask a Centurion about `disk cloning`)
