2, 2.1, 5.1 ?

PC speakers are an easy and enjoyable upgrade to any system.
Today you can enjoy surround sound via your PC for less than ever before, Centurion Computers supply desktop stero (2 channel) 2.1 & 5.1 speaker systems

2 channel speakers are your regular stero desktop speakers, quality can range from very poor (we don't sell those ones) to good (altech lansing , logitech) , but for a higher fidelity experience we recommend at least a 2.1 sound system, that means 2 speakers plus a subwoofer for more base and overall depth.

We stock Altec Lansing and Logitech 2 and 2.1 systems , we can also source other manufacturers if required or specific models.

The next step up is 6 channel surround sound, 5.1 or 7.1 speakers.
What is a 5.1 system?  The number “5.1” means that you have six speakers: two on the front, two on the read, one on the front center (also known as “voice” channel) and one subwoofer (a.k.a. “bass”). So you have five similar speakers and one exclusively for bass sounds – the subwoofer –, hence the name “5.1”.

There is also another very hi-end system available, called “7.1”, which has two more speakers, central right and central left.
